ENTSOG EU Data Exchange Harmonisation Workshop

Dear Sir or Madam,

The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG) is pleased to invite you to the ENTSOG EU Data Exchange Harmonisation Workshop.

Workshop theme

The impetus for this workshop are the following EU regulations:

  • 715/2009 Art 8 (3)a; “ENTSOG shall adopt common network operation tools to ensure coordination of network operations in normal and emergency conditions, including a common incidents classification scale, and research plans”

  • 703/2015 Chapter V Data exchange - Art 24; ”Development process for common network operation tools”

The workshop will provide insights into the development process for the Common Network Operation Tools (CNOT’s) and the benefits of Common Data Exchange Solutions.

Today, several Network Codes and Commission’s Decisions have been identified for which data exchanges are required between Transmission System Operators (TSOs) and other parties, i.e.:

  • Regulation (EU) No. 984/2013 for Capacity Allocation Mechanism (CAM NC)
  • Commission Decision (EU) No. 490/2012 on Congestion Management Procedures (CMP guidelines)
  • Regulation (EU) No. 312/2014 for Gas Balancing (BAL NC-Nomination Procedures)
  • Regulation (EU) No. 703/2015 Interoperability and Data Exchange Rules (INTDE NC-Matching Procedures)

From this legal framework, detailed Business Requirement Specifications (BRS) have been developed which translate the requirements into implementable operational procedures. Based on these BRS documents, ENTSOG has identified the required data exchanges for the CAM & CMP and Nomination & Matching business procedures which will be explained during the workshop.

The workshop will give stakeholders the opportunity to participate actively and raise questions.

After the workshop, a public consultation will take place from 7th September 2016 until 30th September 2016 on the proposed common data exchange solutions.

Who should attend

This workshop is aimed especially for people involved in the daily operations of gas transmission systems, ICT architects, decision makers and gas transmission capacity platform operators.
