Online webinar on Re-Stream study on transport of hydrogen and CO2 in European offshore and onshore gas and oil infrastructure

Date: 29 November 2021

Time: 15:30 – 17:00

Online event

Dear stakeholder,

On 28 October 2021, Carbon Limits and DNV published the Re-Stream report, an assessment of the feasibility of transport of hydrogen and CO2 in European gas and oil infrastructure. The study confirms that European oil and gas pipelines can transport CO2 and hydrogen cost-efficiently, facilitating the deployment of carbon capture and storage (CCS) and hydrogen technologies in Europe and helping to reduce the cost of the energy transition. The quantity of pipelines covered in the Re-Stream project represents a significant portion of the onshore and offshore oil and gas pipeline network in Europe.

The Re-Stream study report is available on Carbon Limits website, here.

Carbon Limits and DNV will host an online webinar to present the study’s findings and methodology. Contributions will also be provided by the partners sponsoring the study: Concawe, the scientific and technical body of the European Petroleum Refiners Association, Gas Infrastructure Europe (GIE), the European Network of Transmission System Operators for Gas (ENTSOG), and the International Association of Oil & Gas Producers (IOGP Europe).
